Planned Maintenance

  • Scheduled Network Maintenance - Improving Broadband Services Canberra

    In Progress

When: Saturday, April 12, 2025, starting at 6:00 AM AEST (lasting up to 2 hours, aiming to finish by 7:00 AM AEST).

    What's Happening?

Early Saturday morning, our technical team is giving parts of our core network an important updates. We're upgrading the software on key devices that help deliver your broadband internet.

    Why?

This upgrade helps us squash some known bugs and ensures all the parts of our network work better together. The goal is simple: a smoother, more reliable internet connection for you.

What does this mean for you?

While we perform this work (between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM AEST), you might notice some brief interruptions to your internet service, like your connection dropping for a short time. We'll be working hard to keep this disruption as minimal as possible. Your service should reconnect automatically afterwards but if it does not trying turning off your modem and/or router for over 5mins.

    Technical details

A firmware upgrade is planned for the Cisco Core Broadband Aggregation Routers managing our Canberra broadband services. The required software has already been downloaded, the upgrade will be implemented first on the routers handling nbn services. Once that stage is complete, the upgrade will proceed on the routers responsible for Vision services. These firmware updates include improvements for compatibility of customer routers for DHCP.

We appreciate your understanding as we make these improvements! We'll post updates on this site if anything doesn't go to plan.
