Infinite Networks Phone support (1300 790 337 / 02 6137 1337)
When: Saturday, April 11, 2026, starting at 4:30 AM AEST and finishing at 7:30 AM AEST (The maintenance window is up to 3 hours, but we aim to finish by 6:30 AM AEST).
What's Happening? On Saturday morning, our technical team is giving parts of our core network an important update. We're upgrading the software on key devices that help deliver your broadband internet.
Why? This upgrade addresses a vendor recommendation following an analysis of the logs from the unscheduled outage that occurred on April 6, 2026. We are taking this opportunity to proactively update all equipment currently running this software version.
What does this mean for you? While we perform this work (between 4:30 AM and 6:30 AM AEST), you may notice up to a 40-minute interruption to your internet service. Your service should reconnect automatically afterwards. If it does not, please try turning off your modem and/or router for 5 minutes before turning it back on.
Technical Details We are planning a firmware upgrade for the 100G line cards on the Cisco Core Broadband Aggregation & Border Routers that manage our national broadband services. The required software has already been downloaded. The upgrade will be implemented first on the routers handling Vision services. Once that stage is complete, the upgrade will proceed on the routers responsible for nbn™ services.
We appreciate your understanding as we make these improvements! We'll post updates on this site if anything doesn't go to plan.
