03:00 AEST 1st August 2026 - We are conducting upgrades to parts of our core network in NextDC C1 for regular patching for security and maintenance purposes. This includes inbound Fibre Ethernet services and core switching affecting most services in this data centre including nbn. There will be a series of reboots required to bring the equipment up to the latest recommended firmware.
2x 20mins for Fibre Ethernet and 2x 15mins between 3am and 5am for other services that rely on core switching at this Data Centre.
This will be monitored over the weekend and if successful similar upgrades will be conducted at the TransACT data centre the next day. If any issues arise please contact the helpdesk at support@infinite.net.au.

This includes inbound Fibre Ethernet services and core switching affecting most services in this data centre including Vision Network. There will be a series of reboots required to bring the equipment up to the latest recommended firmware.
2x 20mins for Fibre Ethernet and 2x 15mins between 3am and 5am for other services that rely on core switching at this Data Centre.
This will be monitored over the weekend and if successful similar upgrades will be conducted at the NextDC C1 data centre from the previous day. If any issues arise please contact the helpdesk at support@infinite.net.au.
03:15 AEST 2nd August 2026 - We will be conducting an upgrade of our Call Termination Server(s) for security and maintenance purposes. All voice services will be affected at some point as we reconfigure this service for better availability. This should be a simple cut over but we are publishing 3-4x 15min windows over a 2 hour window to ensure this upgrade proceeds.

Energy provider maintenance resolved restoring networking equipment connectivity and services at 14:30 AEST.

Some customers in the Dickson area of the ACT maybe disconnected from there VDSL2 services.

Fibre optic networking cables have been damaged in the area. The majority of damage has been restored however working time constraints have caused fibre technicians to cease working.
Technicians will be back on site to complete repairs at approximately 13:00 AEST, we are unable to provide an ETR for full services restoration at this time.
6:54 AM - 16 VDSL2/G.fast nodes remain offline. Fibre crews are on stand down after working for 24hrs. They will continue splicing around lunch time.

10:24 PM - Partial restoration, Services in the Latham and surrounding areas restored. Fibre splicing is still ongoing.
8:39 PM - Cable hauling has been completed. Splicing starting soon.
7:34 PM - Fibre Ops are hauling new fibre cables. The fibres shall be spliced at each of these joints to restore the services in the damaged cables, no ETR.
6:00 PM - Fibre technician identified multiple cables damaged due to horizontal drilling work by civil contractor, Tech on site, assessing the damage. A rectification plan is yet to be finalised, no ETR.
4:40 PM - Technicians at the site of the fiber cable break, 1 Mouat St, Lyneham and are assessing the damage, no ETR.
3:55 PM - Our Supplier has identified a Suspected fiber fault with core equipment, A Fiber tech has been engaged to further investigate and no ETR at this point in time.
2:29 PM - Outage is currently being investigated as we work with our supplier on further updates, no ETA has been given at this time.
1:44 PM - We have identified that the services in Latham and surrounding areas are primarily affected as our supplier is currently investigating.
1:25 PM - We have been alerted to a major outage affecting Vision/VDSL2 Broadband customers and we are currently working with our upstream supplier to provide further updates.
